Joseph Frank Michalina, Jr., 74, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Saturday, April 2, 2016 at his home. He was a native of Oneida, N.Y., the son of the late Joseph Frank Michalina, Sr. and Anne Savachla. He was of the Christian faith and was owner and operator of Quality Pools for forty years.
Visitation will be held Tuesday April 5, 2016 from 12:00 until 1:45 P.M. at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times the home of his son.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor. Burial will follow the service at Creedmoor Cemetery.
Surviving are a daughter, Lori Michalina Wood (Steven) of Wake Forest, a son, Todd Michalina (Dorenda) of Creedmoor, two sisters, JoAnne Marsh of Syracuse, N.Y., Cookie Izzo of Rome, N.Y., one granddaughter, Karlee Michalina, five grandsons, Cord Michalina, Hunter, Justin, Jonathan and Blake Wood. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Whitt Michalina.
Flowers are accepted or memorials can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Voice of the Martyrs, P.O. Box 443, Bartlesville, OK 74005.
